Who we are
Binary Virtual Solutions, LLC ("BVS") is a Texas limited liability company in Salado, TX. Brian Gomes is the owner. This policy covers this website, email and phone contact with BVS, and BVS's LinkedIn apps.

The website
This website is plain HTML and CSS. It has no JavaScript, cookies, forms, analytics or tracking. It loads no fonts, scripts or embedded content from other companies. Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn and GitHub, take you to those sites, and their own privacy policies apply there.
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs the IP address of every visitor for security purposes, whether or not the visitor has a GitHub account. GitHub collects and stores these logs, not BVS. BVS does not receive them. GitHub's General Privacy Statement covers them.
Do Not Track. This site does not track visitors, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. GitHub's logging above happens either way.
If you contact us
If you email or call, BVS gets what you send: your name, email address, phone number and message.
- How it travels. Email to brian.james.gomes@gmail.com goes straight to Brian's Gmail account, so Google handles it, under its own privacy policy. Phone calls go to Brian's phone.
- What it's used for. Only to reply to you and follow up on the business you raised.
- Who sees it. Brian, and the AI tools that help him read, reply to and track messages. Those tools are Claude, made by Anthropic. A record of each conversation is kept in Brian's Notion workspace and in a database on his computer, which is backed up to his private Google Drive. BVS shares it with no one else.
- How long it's kept. BVS keeps business email as a business record. There is no fixed date when it is deleted.
Our LinkedIn tools
BVS uses one LinkedIn app today and is applying to LinkedIn for a second. Both are for Brian alone, on his own LinkedIn account. No other LinkedIn member signs in to either one.
BVS Publisher (in use). Brian uses it to post to his own LinkedIn profile. A post goes out only after he approves it at his own computer. It asks LinkedIn for three permissions: openid, profile and w_member_social. It stores two things on Brian's computer:
- an access token file: the token, when it expires and his LinkedIn member ID. The token expires after about 60 days.
- a post log: for each post, the time, a fingerprint of the text (a sha256 hash, not the text itself) and the post's LinkedIn ID.
It stores nothing about any other LinkedIn member.
BVS Post Metrics (planned). BVS is applying to LinkedIn for this app. If LinkedIn approves it, it will read the analytics of Brian's own posts, such as impressions, reach, reactions and comment counts. It will not read the text of comments or any other member's data. Only Brian will see the numbers. They will be kept no longer than LinkedIn allows (48 hours for member social activity data under LinkedIn's rules). They will never be exported, shared, combined with other data or used for ads, sales or recruiting.
Turning access off. A LinkedIn member can remove an app's access at LinkedIn Settings > Data privacy > Permitted services (you have to be signed in to LinkedIn to see it). Once access is removed, the app can no longer post or read anything.
BVS is not affiliated with or endorsed by LinkedIn.
Sharing
BVS does not sell, rent or trade personal information. BVS does not use it for advertising. BVS shares it with no one, other than the services named on this page that carry or store it: GitHub hosts the site, Google carries and stores email and Brian's backups, Anthropic's Claude helps Brian read, reply to and track messages, Notion holds his records, and LinkedIn runs the apps' sign-in.
How to see, correct or delete your information
Email brian.james.gomes@gmail.com to ask what BVS holds about you, or to have it corrected. Brian will answer you.
BVS keeps business email as a business record, so it does not promise to delete it. Brian can delete your messages from his Gmail. The records in his Notion workspace, his database and his backups are kept.
LinkedIn data. BVS's LinkedIn apps hold only Brian's own data: his access token, his member ID and his post log. Any LinkedIn member can remove an app's access at Permitted services (linked above). To ask BVS to delete what its LinkedIn apps store, email brian.james.gomes@gmail.com. Brian will delete the token file and the post log from his computer and from his Google Drive backup.
GitHub's visitor logs are held by GitHub, not BVS, so BVS can't delete them. See GitHub's privacy statement linked above.
Security
The LinkedIn token and post log sit on Brian's computer in files only his user account can read, and they are backed up to his private Google Drive.
Children
This site is not meant for children under 13, and BVS does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
